Conflux Technology – an Australian metal additive manufacturing (AM) innovator of heat exchangers, led by Michael Fuller – are pleased to announce their commencement towards the Aerospace certification standard AS9100D. As part of their commitment to being laser focussed specialists, this certification will include Design, which is relatively unusual in this industry.

“This marks a considerable step up in our Quality Assurance strategy, and will demonstrate the organisation’s commitment to providing the highest standards of quality and technical excellence to our customers.” said Andrew Milner, Business Analyst and Quality Assurance expert at Conflux Technology.

A six month process, Conflux has already passed the first stage and is well placed to complete the next stage, currently forecast for completion by the beginning of 2023.

AS9100D is an international Quality Management System standard for the Aerospace, Space and Defence industries. It includes numerous additional requirements above and beyond ISO9001:2015, and the certification process is overseen by the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) – an industry owned and operated certification scheme led by several major Aerospace primes.

Conflux’s unique specialisation in both heat transfer and additive manufacturing combined with years of experience working with aerospace primes enables their customers accelerated development programs.

In house expertise

Leading the process is Andrew Milner. Andrew is an experienced Quality Assurance expert and remains a registered Auditor of the scheme. Having an accredited auditor within Conflux building; is of great value to their quality outcomes and expertise with customer expectations.
